Summary: This class is an introduction to the fundamentals of mineralogy taught at the University of Delaware.
Course Objectives: After completing this class, students can identify important minerals and explain what minerals are and why minerals are found where they are found. They are familiar with the fundamentals of mineral properties, optical microscopy, X-ray diffraction, crystallography, and the atomic structures of minerals.

Principles of physical geology and its application in interpreting earth processes
Role: Teaching Assistant (TA)
Summary: Laboratory covers identification of earth materials and the interpretation of topographic and geologic maps taught at the University of Delaware.
Course Objectives: After completing this class, students can identify important minerals and rocks. They are familiar with the rock cycle, understand topographic maps and are able to interprete geologic maps and cross-sections.
